Get Out tl;dr good thriller lacking a few horror scenes/shockers, nice atmossphere throughout the entire movie and a decent storyline coming to an (maybe too) abrupt ending making racism as a leading theme for a movie while also hiding the true intentions of the antagonists is partly risky but also pretty brilliant. The movie is able to build up suspense and creates with the subliminal racism a shiver for the audience (it is hard to describe but as a viewer i felt somewhat freaked out when the protagonist [Chris] was interacting with family members and friends). The audience expects something fishy and has to wait for a major plot twist to reveal the truth. One thing i did not like about the movie is the connection from the protagonist Chris to his friend Rod who he often calls and talks about his concerns about the stay at the armitage manor. Not only does this ruin the pretty well created atmossphere (an atmossphere at the manor with no obvious threat - which is very hard to

Happy Death Day 2U tl;dr ok, if you are into trashy comedy slasher/horror movies but don't expect anything more ok ok I'll answer the important questions first! What in the heavens got me into watching some trash slasher. And the answer is rather similar to what got me into watching the first Happy Death Day. You are hanging out with friends and come up with a spontaneous idea like visiting the local movie theatre. Happy Death Day got lucky twice in a row because both spontaneous visits ended up with me watching something that's not really my taste of movie and it might show in this review but I'll try. My friend who did not watch the first one asked me what happend before and if any of that would be important. Problem was I did not remember anything - no names of the characters no major plot nor the ending. I just knew some girl was trapped in some time loop and get's murdered several times in sometimes very gruesome ways. Interessting was that Christopher La
Glass  tl;dr not worth watching  but let's look at where everything started. Unbreakable a very nice standalone film with a different take on superpowers/heroes was released in late 2000. 16 years after the success M. Night came up with a very interessting take on the dissociative identity disorder in a rather and let's just face it boring setup mainly carried by the phenomenal acting of James McAvoy who single-handedly made a meme out of his character. The great thing about Split was that even people who did not watch the first installment were still able to enjoy a standalone story and a after all great movie experience. If we take a look at Glass we do not get a standalone film we simply get the final piece of an unfinished puzzle which is kind of frustrating because the puzzle did look rather promising. They gave us the original and also very talented lineup of actors. Bruce Willis as the original survivor David Dunn, Samuel L. Ja
